Admission

Apply

The European School Mol welcomes all children.
Students belong to one of the following categories:

  • Category I: Parents are members of the staff of a European Institution or an accredited organisation, with a contract of one year minimum. These students are exempt from school fees.
  • Category II: Parents are members of the staff of a company which has a special agreement with the European Schools and pays the school fees for Category II for the student.
  • Category III: Parents pay the school fee. These students can be admitted if places are available and if they meet the admission requirements.

We give priority in admissions to children from Category I, followed by Category II and finally Category III. We also consider children who already have a sibling at the school.

Applicants will be requested to present previous school reports to determine the correct year group and to gain insight in the students’ school history (except for Nursery pupils). The equivalency tables (comparison to other national systems) can be found in the General rules of the European schools.

Fees

Find information about school fees for Category III here

For families with more than one child in the school, the school fees for the second child will be reduced by 20%. For a third or any subsequent child, the school fees will be reduced by 40%.

Costs for books, school trips and occasional expenses are not included in these fees.

FAQ

General

One of the main features of our school is the multilingual and multicultural character of the education on offer.

Our Nursery cycle consists of a 3-year curriculum for children aged 3 to 6.

Our Primary school welcomes children from the age of 6 years over a 5-year curriculum. From Primary Year 1 onwards, all pupils study a second language.

The Secondary school offers a 7-year curriculum for students aged 11 to 18. From Year 1 onwards, all secondary school students study 3 languages. Secondary education is validated by the European Baccalaureate examinations at the end of year 7. The certificate awarded is fully recognised in all the countries of the European Union, as well as several others.

Interested families are welcome to visit us during our Open Day or contact the school Secretary for an appointment.

This is not regular practice. In exceptional cases and strict requirements, a payment plan can be agreed. For more information, contact schoolfees@esmol.be

The school does not offer any scholarships.

The school cooperates with 2 external boarding schools, with transportation to and from school. Students can stay in the boarding school from Monday to Friday.

Nursery & Primary

We encourage each pupil to select the language section of his/her mother tongue.

If this is not possible, we will assess each situation individually to see what are the best options for your child.
