Responsibilities
- In the area of well-being:
- Active participation in the care-team activities;
- Counselling to parents and pupils in socio-emotional issues;
- Counselling to school staff related to pupils’ socio-emotional issues;
- Supporting individual/groups of pupils – consultation, assessment, guidance;
- Promoting activities of promotion of pupils’ mental health;
- Intervening in managing individual pupils/school crises related to well-being and mental health.
- In the area of Educational Support :
- Identification/assessment and prevention of pupils’ learning difficulties: Establishment of systems of early identification in line with the Framework for Early Identification of Pupils’ Abilities and Needs;
- Performing on-site diagnostic assessments for learning and developmental difficulties, including autism spectrum disorder (e.g. Social Responsiveness Scale, SCQ), ADHD (e.g. BRIEF-2, SDQ), Cognitive assessments (e.g., WISC-V, WPPSI-IV), Emotional/behavioral screeners (e.g., CBCL, CDI);
- Interpreting test results and advising on appropriate school-based strategies;
- Establishing contact with the national/regional resources centers in the area of special educational needs/inclusive education;
- Establishing the link with external experts that work with the pupils;
- Advising/training teachers and support staff (EdSup coordinator, teachers and assistants) in the promotion of accessible learning environments and the development of support strategies;
- Working individually with the pupils and parents;
- Participation in the Support Advisory Groups.
Profile and requirements
- At least 2 years working experience with young children and teenagers.
- Working experience in the educational field or a school is a plus.
- Experience in an international environment is an asset.
- Very good knowledge of French and/or English.
- Fluency in another EU language is an asset.
- Good listening and interpersonal skills.
- Diploma: Masters’ degree in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in educational psychology.
- Candidates must be entitled to work in Belgium.
- Candidates have to be in possession of a recent DBS check ("Certificate of good conduct").

- Brut monthly salary € 2 960,72 for 22 hours per week
- Each employee is entitled to 30 days of holiday leave per calendar year, in addition to the public holidays set by the European Commission (+/- 16 days per year).
- Moreover, your children may register freely at one of the European schools, under restriction of the enrolment policy for European schools.
