65th Anniversary Open Day and Party

Celebrating 65 Years Together

Our 65th Anniversary Open Day was a roaring success, with a colourful afternoon programme that included guided school tours, children’s activities, live music, and a nostalgic alumni lounge where former students and staff could reconnect. It was a joy to celebrate with our school community, prospective families, and esteemed alumni—some of whom travelled from far and wide to be part of the day.

A highlight once again was the delicious international food market, thanks to the incredible efforts of our Parents’ Association. The Harmonieorkest van Mol-Rauw’s Do-Nuts also impressed with a vibrant live performance that set the tone for the celebrations.

The festivities continued into the evening with our 65th anniversary party, which kicked off with a reception in our striking new event tent. Guests enjoyed live music by the European Schools’ Jazz Pop Band and speeches by our Director, María José Pérez Blanco, the Secretary-General of the European Schools, Mr Andreas Beckmann, and the Director of the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre in Geel, Mr Ciarán Nicholl.

We extend a heartfelt thank you to our partners and sponsors for making this unforgettable celebration possible: Advocaat Busschaert, KP Verpa, Van de Kerkhof, Vanerum, Corbie Hotel Geel, Mploy Advocaten, Meynen Kurt Tuinrealisaties, Speelplaatsmeubel/Idemax, Compass Group, Danny Willemsen, K&S, Move & Study, Troetelland, Vandeperre, NaMa Invest, Willems Diels - Red Mee Levens.

A special thank you to Gary Gielen and Opticapro for the fantastic live music that had everyone on the dancefloor all night, and to Sesam Events for organising such a memorable evening.
